LNG spot market prices dipped to historic lows earlier this year. While the market has recovered somewhat, there is considerable uncertainty in price and demand for the foreseeable future.

These uncertainties have led to increased awareness of and focus on liquefaction plant operating expenses. As fuel gas costs contribute as much as 50% to the OPEX of a typical plant, there is significant value and inherent opportunity in reducing fuel gas consumption. Additionally, corporate sustainability initiatives and regulatory agencies continuously push for reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Digital process twins based on first-principles advanced process models can accurately predict and optimize these complex and challenging systems and help engineers create value by reducing both OPEX and GHG. This webinar will examine PSE’s approach to reducing both liquefaction plant OPEX and GHG emissions via plant performance optimization.

Agenda

  • Challenges faced by the LNG industry
  • Overview of Liquefaction process optimisation using digital twins.
  • Case study: Optimisation of a baseload LNG liquefaction plant

Who should attend?

The webinar is aimed at Technology Directors, Operations Directors, Process Control Lead Engineers, Plant Performance Optimization Leads and Advanced Process Control specialists working in LNG operations.
